Rolando Peña shows his vision of the universe.

The art show is comprised by seventeen images and a video work where Peña examines the cosmological models of the Big Bang theory and its incidences on the ways to interpret the various dynamics that build and shape the human realities.  The exhibition will open in the contemporary art space 'Connect Now Room' of the Arts Connection Foundation in Miami.

Dialogues with Che: Appropriations of a Revolutionary Figure

Diálogo con el Che (Dialogue with Che, 1968, newly restored, 53’), starring Taylor Mead and Rolando Peña, is a legendary film by queer Nuyorican artist José Rodriguez Soltero that parodies Hollywood portrayals of the revolutionary hero. Presented at the Cannes and Berlin Film Festivals in 1969.

"La Cotorra" by Rolando Peña

Countercultures and Undergrounds

In 1977 the short film "La Cotorra" received the photography prize at the First International Film Festival of Vanguardia Súper Ocho in Caracas, Venezuela.  In 1978, "La Cotorra" was presented at the London Film School and at the Gallery Showcase in Paris.
